Ramy Ayach Denies Military Service Rumors

Ramy Ayach Denies Military Service Rumors
Lebanese singer Ramy Ayach opened up about personal struggles, bullying, and his career in a candid interview on Hebr Sery, addressing rumors about dodging military service and his bond with Egypt.
Facing Bullying Head-On
Ramy condemned bullying, especially on social media, where it spreads unchecked. He revealed enduring relentless teasing as a child due to the gap between his teeth and difficulty pronouncing “S,” facing constant negative remarks from peers.
Standing by Carole Samaha
Ramy discussed the bullying campaign against fellow Lebanese artist Carole Samaha over her facial wrinkles, emphasizing that true beauty lies within. He was among her first supporters, writing, “Every wrinkle on your face reflects the world’s beauty,” vowing to defend anyone facing harm, regardless of personal ties.
Clearing Military Service Claims
Addressing long-standing rumors of evading Lebanese military service, Ramy dismissed them as baseless. He explained that as a university student studying interior design and psychology for a year and a half, he was legally exempt. Lebanese law also excused those with siblings in service, which applied to him. “I’m sad I couldn’t serve—my friends became brigadiers, and I dreamed of volunteering,” he shared.
A Tough Career Phase
Ramy recounted a challenging period early in his career, facing harsh criticism that led to a two-year hiatus. Isolated during this time, his breakthrough came from Egypt. A four-month work offer revived his confidence, yielding profits that funded a full album.
Egypt’s Pivotal Role
Grateful to Egypt, Ramy said, “Egypt saw me drowning and said, ‘I’m with you.’” He credits Egypt for surpassing other artists’ success there, boasting numerous concerts, interviews, and honors. “My songs play in clubs, restaurants, and events—Egypt gave me more than my due,” he noted.
